James Gordon is Batman. That’s a sentence many fans probably never thought they’d see, but here we are! Scott Snyder’s latest Batman tale has brought about a significant change to the status quo, and to top it off, Bruce Wayne is essentially starting a whole new life… because he doesn’t remember his past! When will he remember he was the Dark Knight, though? Well, that’ll be explored in Snyder and Yanick Paquettte’s issue of Batman this February!

It is time. Bruce Wayne has reclaimed his true past as Batman. Now he must descend into the cave and face what he once was. Can he truly leave behind a life free from the pain and anguish of the Bat? Can he plunge once more into the madness and purpose that once consumed him? In this special, thrilling issue, watch as the fate of Bruce Wayne, and Batman, is decided once and for all.

Swamp Thing #2

Len Wein returns to write about one of the characters he co-created: Swamp Thing! As if having Wein write new Swamp Thing stories wasn’t promising enough, he’s also joined by artist Kelley Jones! Oh, and there’s a zombie. Even if you’re not the biggest Swamp Thing fan around, this creative team deserves your attention.

A zombie is on the loose on the campus of Louisiana’s Crowley College! Swamp Thing must search out an old friend if he hopes to save the small college town from the resurrected student roaming the forest. But if he thinks that zombies are the biggest problem on his horizon, Alec Holland might need to think again.

Wonder Woman Earth One Vol. 1

WONDER WOMAN EARTH ONE VOL 1 HC

Grant Morrison reimagines Wonder Woman’s story! We’re sure all it’ll take to sell many on the premise is “Grant Morrison reimagines”. With Morrison’s elaborate writing and Paquette’s art, it’s looking like this original graphic novel will be a must-buy for anyone even remotely interested in the powerful Amazonian.

In this new installment of the New York Times best-selling Earth One original graphic novel line, Grant Morrison (THE MULTIVERSITY) joins with Yanick Paquette (SWAMP THING, BATMAN, INC.) to reimagine Wonder Woman for a new era. Encompassing the vision of her original creator, William Moulton Marston, Morrison presents a Diana who yearns to break free from her mother and the utopian society on Paradise Island to learn about the forbidden outside world. Her dreams may come true when Air Force pilot Steve Trevor crashes on their shores, and she must defy the laws of the Amazons to return him to Man’s World.

Is she ready for the culture shock that awaits her in America? And is the world ready for this Wonder Woman?

Superman: American Alien #4

SUPERMAN AMERICAN ALIEN #4

Choosing to take yet another look at Clark Kent’s earlier years probably isn’t something many readers expected, but after reading the first issue, it’s clear Max Landis’ vision of Superman’s past is well worth visiting. Clark attempting to land an interview with Oliver Queen, Lex Luthor, and Bruce Wayne has the chance to be all kinds of amusing. Also, Jae Lee’s on art!

Clark travels to Metropolis for the Cerberus Summit, a rare meeting between three of the world’s most prominent young chiefs of industry: Lex Luthor, Oliver Queen, and the enigmatic Bruce Wayne. Landing an exclusive interview with any of the three would all but guarantee Clark a prestigious internship with the Daily Planet…but Clark runs into some unexpected competition when he meets another college journalist named Lois Lane.

BATGIRL #49

Batgirl is making quite a few appearances in February, but issue #49 of her own title, by Brenden Fletcher and Cameron Stewart, has a ton of potential. It’s looking like this one will be a massive character study as it explores Barbara Gordon’s psyche and history in the DC universe. There’s a strong possibility this will be a powerful read for Batgirl fans, and the chance for others to better understand – and appreciate – the heroine.

To unravel the secret of Batgirl’s bizarre new nemesis, her friends must travel to strange and uncharted territory: the inside of Barbara Gordon’s spectacular mind!

Batman/TMNT #3

BATMAN TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES #3

Right when it was announced DC would join forces with IDW Publishing to create a Batman and TMNT crossover, one thought popped into our head: what would the Caped Crusader vs. Shredder be like? Both are immensely skilled, and while Batman has his nifty gadgets, Shredder doesn’t hold back at all. Well, it looks like James Tynion IV and Freddie E. Williams II’s third issue of the crossover could include that battle! Plus, we’re all for seeing more of the Dark Knight interacting with each of the Ninja Turtles… especially Michelangelo.

The Batcave is overrun with turtles—and its landlord is not at all pleased about it. But Batman’s going to have to put aside his animosity toward his uninvited guests because he’s about to have his first run-in with their deadliest enemy, Shredder! Meanwhile, the Turtles must face up to the grim possibility that they might never get back to their world.

From legendary writer/artist Neal Adams comes a threat so epic it will take more than one Man of Steel to handle it in this new 6-issue miniseries!

As Darkseid and the hordes of Apokolips lay waste to the world, even Superman is overwhelmed—but not for long, as three heroes from the miniaturized city of Kandor emerge at full size, armed with all the vast powers of Kal-El, ready to become the new Supermen!

THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS THE LAST CRUSADE #1

We all know what went down in Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns and we’re soon going to get even more of that future in Dark Knight III: The Master Race. But what about the violent and tragic events that unfolded before the beginning of the story in The Dark Knight Returns? Miller, along with Brian Azzarello, John Romita Jr., and Bill Sienkiewicz are going to reveal that chapter in Bruce Wayne’s life. Batman turning his back on crime fighting was a big deal, and now it’s time to see the events that made him decide to hang up the cape and cowl.
